Osteopathic Manual Therapy
The techniques I use are not typical relaxation massage therapy. The client is fully dressed in comfortable active wear. Treatment is approached based on the philosophy that all of the body’s systems are interconnected. Treatment needs to consider and address each system to be successful.
The techniques used are a customized combination of manual osteopathic therapies, which I have learned and continue to learn through ANS Balance. I am always working within my scope of practice as a massage therapist.
I look at human movement based on the way humans develop structurally. This structure governs movement, but changes in response to how people move and live their lives. Through an understanding of the interaction between structure and function, it becomes more obvious why someone breaks down or does not recover. I look for the sources of the problems and work to correct them.
The autonomic nervous system is a coordination of sympathetic and parasympathetic tone that promotes health and living. Restore this coordination, this balance, to bring about health and pain free living.
